Oceanspray - Holodiscus discolor
This deciduous shrub is native to the western United States and Canada, thriving in forests, meadows, and along streambanks. Typically reaching heights of 6 to 10 feet, it features arching branches adorned with serrated, green leaves that turn yellow in the fall. In late spring to early summer, Oceanspray produces abundant clusters of creamy white flowers that have a distinctive cascading appearance, attracting various pollinators, including bees and butterflies. This resilient shrub adapts well to different soil types and is often used for erosion control and naturalized landscaping.
